That is not a shocking revelation, but just so you are aware of it. Additionally this board is based on an older design and I found it hard to find libraries to support it. I was able to get it to work with a servo motor easily. The board supports up to two servos with dedicated 3 pin connectors. I then tried to get it to work with a 4 pin stepper motor and could never get it to work. I am sure the issue is on my end given the number of YouTube videos showing it working, but I could not get it to work. The board is setup to control two stepper motors and has the ability to be connected to external power to power the motors. I used this feature, but again, no luck for me. The board is also set up to handle 4 DC motors, for a typical 4 wheeled robotic platform. I did not try this since I was frustrated after the stepper motor experience.
