Christine Warren is one of my favorite authors (even though I have only just found her books). I love this book in particular because really who doesn't love a sneaky Imp who loves Root Beer?. As always Christine manages to mix a strong independent heroines with sexy alpha hero and come up with a HEA. Of course along the way the lead characters have to get past major pit fulls you know the normal:- Danger at every corner, not loving mothers, secrets revealed and oh yeah the whole inter-species dating thing. Unfortunately for me, I already have my favourite characters in this series and although this is another great installment I almost felt as if some of the lines had been written already, said already in earlier books. There's nothing entirely new about this book although the storyline flies by and the chemistry between characters is most definitely there. Is this just because Warren is using the tried and true formula? I'm pretty sure it is.It's a good story, the characters are likeable but it's not ground breaking.

This book is poor compared to the rest in the series.  It really feels as though the writer has run out of steam.  Although I loved the other books in the series I won't be buying any more.  Christine Warren needs to dream up a new world and characters to write about now.
