The support brackets attach well and quickly. The wall attachment hardware is typical style expansion inserts but it is critical that the hole you drill be no larger than necessary. These shelves are sturdy enough to carry a lot more weight if the attachment is directly to framing rather than drywall. I installed the 60 inch shelves which unfortunately does not coincide with conventional framing layout.
