What I was looking for
I never thought the day would come where I would be one of those parents that have to use these devices. But here I am using one.Tried it out for the first time today with my son on a nature walk. I thought the length was perfect when we walked together in the same direction. It gave him the freedom he wanted but kept him close enough to me where I felt comfortable. Now when he doesn’t want to go, it can stretch quite a bit and maybe about to 6-8 feet give or take.I love how it is padded for comfort. My son isn’t at the point where he would know how to unlatch it yet so I have not tried out the locking mechanism. He did try and attempt to remove the bracelet and wasn’t able to at this time.

Controlled freedom - Toddlers who can’t be trusted yet
This was recommended to me by a coworker and fellow toddler mom . I figured for the price why not .Our first time using it was at a extremely crowded state fair . We knew our very headstrong toddler would not tollorate being carried or sequestered in a stroller for long .Holy crap this thing was amazing ! First off it has a lock and key ( attatched to the parent side ) . Which as you all know makes a difference . It’s padded so it’s conformtable . It’s really durable - she put it through the ringer and it held it’s shape and still looks brand new .The only thing I would change is potentially a shorter length for crowded areas but then again even with the longer one she was easily within reach at all times . I have bought one for the car and her grandparents as well.

Just what I needed
I bought this for my 2 year who doesn't like riding in his stroller or a buggy when we go out. Of course when I first used it he hated it. Screaming and crying trying to take it off. That's normal though with any toddler. We will have to practice more at home with it. I love it though because it allows him to walk on his own without the fear of him running off. I bought this specific one because of the lock feature, I knew he would try to pull it off with just velcro. With the lock I don't have to worry about my little boy taking it of. This is so much better than those backpack "leashes" .

The key breaks easily.
The wrist link worked great when we visited our local pumpkin patch, my child was able to be independent and explore freely. I would say it worked great until we went to unlock it and the little flimsy plastic key broke.

Great if your child is a runner!
Great product to keep our 3 year running near us while allowing him to walk on his own. Wish this was a little shorter though for busy public places. Son didn't love wearing it and soon realized he won't have to if he would stay by us and not Sprint off.

No so much
Got these for my daughter who has a hand sensitivity. The cord is way too long to even remotely keep the child near you. Just not what I was looking for at all.

Knowing they are still just a reach away
For that rambunctious little one that breaks away and want to be independent. They have freedom and you have peace of mind.
