If you have not learned Hiaragana or Katakana you will want to buy another book first before picking this one up. The focus of this book is aimed at those who already have a grasp at the Japanese language as well as the English language. There were many times when I was learning something such as moras and adjecunal nouns without being aware of what they were in English.
