Review: Excellent for explaining flying to a child - I bought this for my 3 year old to explain how flying works. We were preparing to take a flight in a month or so (on Southwest Airlines) and he hadn't flown since 2 months old. Not only was it an excellent prop ('here is where we get on the plane, here is where our bags will go, here is how we will fly up in the air, etc.), he slept with it the first night! He loves planes and carried it with him everywhere. As others have stated, the back two tiny wing parts break off quite easily. We repaired both of them a couple of times before we lost the pieces completely. When we got on the plane, he immediately showed it to the pilot and said, 'I have a plane like you!'. The pilot invited him to sit in the cockpit. It was amazing. That said, we did lose it after several months and I am buying another for the next flight we are taking (not to mention my son mentions it about once a week...) If you have a child who loves planes, this may be for them. Being the perfect size of their hands is extra wonderful.
