I got solid penetration. The first was a little forward and went through a shoulder and still put a hole the size of a slug. The other was spot on, just behind the shoulders - double lung. Both left big holes (entrance and exit) and both went no further than 20 yards. The fly even with my field points and other broad heads.So, why not 5 star?Both times the chisel tips were severally bent - like, soft metal bent. The first one I tossed because it was so bad. If you had a passthrough blood loss would be massive, however, at least in my case arrow did not penetrate very far. I suspect the large amount of metal slows it down and decreases penetration. The deer I shot with my crossbow had over half the arrow sticking out of it on the side I shot it.
