I want to preface this by saying that this is based 100% off of first impressions. If you're looking for the chrome effect on the box, that's not likely going to happen. Maybe if you used just the right combination of polishes, I don't know, but for me it didn't get that effect. It's very shiny, don't get me wrong, but it a more sparkly way. You can still see glitters throughout the nail. I buffed my in pretty well and brushed away the excess powder before applying the top coat. Which so far is good. It has great reviews and I was looking for the top coat by itself, but my local Walmart was out. I just so happen to look at what came in this kit and saw it has the top coat, so I bought this really for that. I personally am happy with the results, I could have been happier if I'd gotten the advertised look, but it isn't the end of the world. So I did 3 stars just for this looking towards the review, I didn't want to mark 4 and potential buyers think, "Wow, 4 stars, must work great".
