Review: Good soap base - I like this soap base. It melted easily and smoothly. It was easy to mix in fragrance and botanicals. It didn’t seize up and cool too fast. It smells really good. My soap bars came out very nicely. It made very nice looking bars of soap. The texture is nice and smooth. It doesn’t seem to irritate or dry out my skin. Great for my hobby.
Review: Excellent soap base, especially for beginners! - Melts easily, I generally melt this base in the microwave with a glass bowl, stirring often. Pours easily and sets up very nicely. This is a great soap base for those starting out, and long time soap makes. I can generally have a batch of soap setting up in 10-15 minutes.

**Q: I realize that oats are gluten free, but are the oats, and oat protein, in this base manufactured in a way to be truly gluten free?**
A: Gluten is only an issue if it’s eaten. It is not absorbed by the skin.

**Q: Does this soap base have lye in it?**
A: ALL soap has lye. You cannot make soap without it. It is no longer lye once it goes though the chemical process that turns fat into soap.

**Q: Would this be a good soap to make lavender soap?**
A: I made Lavender Vanilla soap using this a week ago.  It tuned out alright (I'm not a huge fan of Lavender, myself).  The soap in its base form had a very subtle oatmeal smell, nothing strong.  I thought it was pleasant.

**Q: is this the suspension formula?**

I like this soap base. It melted easily and smoothly. It was easy to mix in fragrance and botanicals. It didn’t seize up and cool too fast. It smells really good. My soap bars came out very nicely. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do something kind

I’m issuing the photo for attention…hehe….I’m making dog shampoo bars out of this soap base! Please take a few minutes to visit this stores website and leave an honest review their as well if you were planning to review this product here on Amazon. There was only one review on their website for this product and it was a one star?!? It seems silly. I left mine on there but I wanted to give a bit more detail. The lathering is AMAZING and so soft! I was for some reason supposed to see it “bubbling” or “foaming” when I was lathering it in my hands because when I think of oatmeal soap I for some reason don’t think of bubbles lol. When I stuck my stirring spoon that was full of it in the hot boiling water when I was finished with everything it melts in the water like MILK it’s so pretty and satisfying to me. The alcohol smell (in my opinion) that I’ve seen on previous reviews I believe is a rubbing alcohol layer on the outside of the soap for packaging that doesn’t affect the actual soap or smell of it once broken into and used. So don’t panic if you open and it and hold it to your nose right away and smell it. When you start cutting it up and working with it then try smelling it if your curious. Again I’m super impressed with this soap base and excited to keep buying it! I also wanted to note that I didn’t really smell much of oats or oatmeal personally but I don’t have a super strong nose. That may actually be a good thing for those that don’t want a super oat-mealy smell but want the benefits of using this soap base. Make sure when it comes to layering, you’re quick about it! It hardens pretty fast. But a lot of reviews on here that do more of the layering stuff found it a great soap base for that too! Don’t forget to leave a review on their website!
