If I could figure out a way to reattach it, I could probably get it working again. Yes, sound quality isn't as good as regular headphones, but it isn't bad. I use it for audiobooks with an MP3 player. I love the fact that it is impossible to tangle the cords. I wasted so much time untangling my old toxic headphones. The heart-shaped piece kind of makes it look like a toy stethoscope, so I would probably buy black if I buy again (rather than pink).
