It's very solidly built and the optics are incredible. Images are tack sharp once in focus with only the very slightest bit of coma on the edges. The Apparent Field Of View (AFOV) is very wide and the eye relief is awesome. One thing to be aware of though (especially for newbies), is to be patient in getting accustomed to using a wide field eyepiece like this one. If your head isn't in the right orientation when looking through it, you'll get some "kidney bean effect" on the edges (where the edges get dark or seem to "pinch" as you move your head slightly from side to side). This is totally normal as I have other wide field eyepieces in addition to this one and the kidney bean effect happens with those as well. However, once you relax and keep your head/eyes centered and as still as possible, then the quality of the eyepiece really shines. I can't recommend this eyepiece enough, especially for the price!!
