Cade is still nursing his shattered heart after being left at the altar two years earlier. He has ranching in his blood and has no desire to do anything else. He always looks forward to opening his Longhorn Canyon Ranch to underprivileged kids for five weeks. This year he needs a girls counselor and Retta Palmer has applied for the job.Right away sparks fly between the two of them as she is being interviewed for the job. Knowing she will only be there for five weeks she is determined to ignore the sparks. Sometimes the mind and the heart do not agree. What is going to happen with Cade and Retta? Will they follow their hearts? This is a great story of love, determination, and being honest with yourself. I loved every minute of this book. Longhorn Canyon is a new series from her. I waited till I had the whole series before reading the series. Cowboy Bold is a fun read with a mixture of family values mixed in. Cade Maguire was born and raised in Texas and very serious Texas Longhorn fan. Retta Palmer is born and raised in Oklahoma and is a Oklahoma Sooner fan. Mix these two up working together on a ranch in Texas and you have a lot of fun. Retta recently lost her father and had to sell the family ranch to pay medical bills. She comes to Longhorn Canyon Ranch to work five weeks with a group of children brought in from foster homes and needy families. Retta thinks she will be there 5 weeks and then move on back her job s an executive at a bank she worked at before her Dad died. Life gives you surprises when you least expect it. Cowboy Bold is the first in the series of this and you will get hooked with page one and not want to stop reading.
