As I have various Alexa devices through out the house, I bought this, as It was supposed to work with Alexa.Let me start by saying it's a handsome unit. The alarm can either rest on three pins, or you can snap it into a wall mount (included), plug in the sensor on a cable, and monitor the potential flood zone. Configuring the app was a bit difficult, but I got the alarm to send alerts to my iPhone and Apple Watch. That works nicely.Alexa dos not detect (discover) this device, so it does not work with Alexa. And, let me expand on that a bit. In the Alexa-verse, you have two things. You have your triggers, like an Echo button, and you have your actions. In order for this thing to DO anything, it's going to have been seen, and from there, trigger a routine. That's what I was hoping for. But, instead Alexa can't see (discover) the device, so it can't trigger anything.The flipside, would be have Alexa to tell the device to do something, and what could that be other than turning on/off. ### ⭐ Wouldn't connect to WiFi *by B***F on Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2018* After numerous attempts to connect this water detector to my WiFi, I contacted Amazon Technical support, and it was agreed that the device was defective. I bought it through my Prime membership, but learned that since it was supplied by a 3rd party vender, I couldn't get a refund. The best I could do was exchange it for another one. I'm waiting for the new one to arrive and hope that it will work as it's supposed to. The included instructions, although in very tiny print, were easy to follow. The instructions on the App were also pretty easy to follow, so if the device works as described, it shouldn't be any problem to set up. If the 2nd device works correctly, I'll update this review. ### ⭐⭐ Miss leading... Potentially costly... *by ҉***҉ on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2019* Has no Alexa functionality whatsoever, the WIFI signal is so poor placing it under a house, in a crawl space or even under the kitchen sink will fail to notify you of any leaks. Also it will not notify you when you're not home as it is only capable of sending notifications via a local WIFI network. It lacks even the simplest push notification options. Honestly a complete disappointment, lucky I haven't had a flood while I had this piece of trash supposedly monitoring my pipes. Better safe than sorry people, don't buy this and expect to be guarded from flooding, you'll never know a flood has occured when you rely on this.....
