My first class with Sharon, she read from Lama Govinda’s Foundation of Tibetan Mysticism about the miraculous power of Om Mani Padme Hum, the Buddhist mantra of compassion. It’s been a lot of sweating, stretching and chanting during the last 27 years, and Sharon has never let me down as a yoga teacher.This book belongs in a quartet of required texts for the Jivamukti Teacher Training curriculum, The Jivamukti Yoga Book, Yoga and Vegetarianism, The Jivamukti Assists Manual and the Jivamukti Chant Book. The physical sequence of the Magic Ten is a basic yoga warm up meant to precede a longer yoga class or stand on its own as a practice.
