They are rude and charge ridiculous prices for everything (eg. $100 for a mower carburetor that I bought here on Amazon for $26). Unfortunately they were also the only ones locally that I've found that carry the Kohler-brand filters for my tractor. I decided to turn to Amazon rather than give those jerks any more business. In doing so I learned a couple of things. First, Amazon carries the Kohler filters for less than the local shop does and they are Prime-eligible at the time of this review. Secondly, I can substitute this Wix filter for the Kohler-brand filter and it is even a few bucks less again. Wix makes great filters and Kohler recently changed the construction of theirs, now producing an inferior product. By going with Wix I get a better filter at a lower cost. What isn't to like about that? Oh yeah, the Wix filter was made in the USA too! In case anyone is looking for a filter for their tractor, I have a Simplicity Regent 15 lawn tractor (2002 or 2003 model I believe) with a Kohler Command 15 HP engine in it. I only ordered one filter because I wanted to make sure it fit properly since the genius that designed my tractor put the filter in a bad spot.
