It is collapsible with three compartments. I bought two. I wanted one to keep my emergency items in the back and a second for random things like groceries, etc. there's nothing to keep these upright. No rubbery skids on the bottom or anything so my items always spilled everywhere. I drive in-town only so I don't go above 45. I've tried putting it laterally and long-ways in the trunk. So I figured I'd try in my car instead of my jeep. I have rubber mats and it works great in there, but it's already started to rip at one of the seams.
