## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the shank long enough, my router is under table?**
A: Simply stated, yes. I have my router as a part of my table saw table and these bits all have long enough shanks. Also keep in mind your router also has a vertical adjustment so it usually should be able to adjust to even in normal circumstances put your shaft tightening nut in jeopardy of cutting into or hitting the work so in most cases I know of unless your router is one that you can not adjust the depth of the cut with , you should have no problems with these bits having a long enough shank. Also unless your table is set up so that the router is deeply set that the tightening nut is not ever able to hit the work when doing a cut then you are not going to have any problems with these bit shaft lengths. I certainly hope this helps and explains why. Good luck!

**Q: How well secured in the case.  I bought some and they were loose in case and all chipped.?**
A: The set I bought arrived undamaged, all of the bits are quite tight in their positions in the case. I've had this set for almost 5 years now.

**Q: What angle is the 1/2 inch dovetail bit?**
A: ALl router bits contained in the set have a 1/2 inch shank. The set contains 5 dovetail bits of various sizes. I THINK they range from approximately 7° to 14°. It's an awesome set of bits. I've had mine for over a year.

Most carbide, (a.k.a. tungsten carbide) router bits, especially with 1/2" shanks, are upwards of $3/bit. Or they literally fall apart. This set is well made (machined), sturdy and very well populated with a broad assortment of bits.I have used half a dozen different bits on perhaps 15-20 hard wood work pieces each without dulling, burring or failure. I suspect they all will last me years to decades with good care. Most are two bladed, many with bearings (that stand up fine). The case is adequate but flimsy and I carry the (aluminum) case in a canvas tool bag.I believe this is an exceptional value and would buy the set again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Enough with the whining!

My router bit set arrived this morning. I quickly opened the package fearing for the worst because of so many reviews. I wasn't that amazed when I opened the case and saw all but 2 bits in there holders. I inspected them next to my couple of Freud bits and a set of Ryobi bits from HD. Definitely not freud's but I don't know anyone that buys a Ford Focus expects it to perform like a an 8 series BMW. I completed a dining room table I have been working on. The two bits I used worked as they should with no burn. Obviously only time will tell if the bits are going to last but a $100 purchase is just that. If you work with wood and you aren't making thousands of dollars on each project these bits will probably work for you. Great selection and like so many others have said once you wear out the couple bits you use most often replace them with Freud's. The case is definitely flimsy but I wasn't buying a case. My five stars are for the value and fit and finish for the money.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not too bad for the price

When I got these I was not too sure what I was going to get. I have only used three of these so far, but I was impressed with the results so far. I don't know how long the edges will last or how well they will work with hardwood, but on the pine I used for some projects around the house I was more than surprised at how well they did. I used a couple of round over bits and one moulding bit and they worked very well with no tear out. Only a little tearing on some knots. About the same results I would have expected out of my Freud bits. They may wear out, the bearings may go bad, or I may find some wobbly ones. But for a set with lots of different choices for a good price you can not beat it. If some go bad that I think I may want to use a lot I will just buy a better brand to replace it. That is what I have done on a smaller set of Grizzly bits. I wore a couple out and bought some better bits to replace them. And the case is cheep, but sturdy enough to hold the set, and handy to haul them out of storage and put on my table to decide which one I need.
