**Q: I'm hoping to use this rack WITHOUT the chainstay mounts so that it's easily removable from just the seatpost. Can anyone confirm how this would go? T**
A: I think that would not work. The structure would not be very stable.

A: It is attached to the seat pole via an adjustable screw clamp.

**Q: I have a medium size thompson R6400. will this fit on this model of bicycle?**
A: While I cannot answer for this exact model, the carrier did what I required for the bike and carry things more safely.

**Q: Would this work with a laptop bag or big backpack in the back? Concerned it wouldn’t work well or would come off when riding.**
A: As long as it is well secured with bungee ropes, better to get small pannier bag so it can be protected from the elements
