There are gaps either side of the flap so stuff inside gets wet if it rains. The studs around the holes for the drawstring lift up which have scratched me a few times and drawn blood, which isn't what I'd expect from a backpack. It has been useful to me for a few months but I'm now looking for another bag due to this one attacking me when I want to get something out! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice bag, but watch your hands! *by A***L on 20 March 2018* This backpack was a gift for my wife (she specifically asked for it) and while in general it's pretty good as a bag, she has noticed that the eyelets on the inside of the bag* tend to come apart, thus exposing sharp points of metal which can easily scratch your hand (many times drawing blood).* Underneath that top flap, there's a drawstring opening for the bag itself, with the drawstring itself going in and out of metal eyelets - hopefully you can see what I mean about the points of metal that move, in fact two pictures clearly show this having happened. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good looking, durable bag *by N***A on 1 January 2019* Really good looking little bag. Have had for quite a few years now and have very few issues. Very little (if any) wear on inside or outside of bag after years of lugging textbooks and work to and from sixth form and now uni. The main sign of wear is the stretching of the straps (which I now have to shorten after most uses for it to not feel like it’s hanging down by my waist). However after the frequency I’ve used this and the weight it has been used to carry regularly this seems fairly natural and is not much of an issue. Good size, maybe could be a tad bigger but it’s not really been that much of an issue for me.I do like the way it fastens - (tightening a string that wraps around the opening of the bag, then clipping the lid down) however where the string threads through the bag there are metal fixtures to stop the holes becoming worn. These fixtures sometimes bend back and are very sharp, (sometimes they are malleable enough to be pushed back into place, but sometimes not) which seems quite dangerous. It hasn’t been a problem until recently so may be another sign of wear and that the bag needs replacing, but I now have to be careful when reaching into the bag as I have three or four cuts on my hand from where I have accidentally caught it on one of these metal bits when reaching in and out too quickly. For this reason I would not recommend this bag for children.Overall has served me well for quite a few years and the issues I’ve discussed have only occured recently.
