Review: Well designed with many thoughtful facilities - Have always regretted to move from the old handset wired telephones to the current upright stick cordless phones. This Alcatel combines the best attributes of the old handset phones being easier to hold with the convenience of cordless. The large clear display on the base unit is very useful as is the display on the handset. The design is quite unique and blends in so well with my art deco style furnishings. I have added a slight modification being a black split flexible corrugated conduit to disguise the cables (also from desertcart). I did experience some problems setting up the phone numbers and other preferences but I found out it was not the phone but me not following the instructions. So I would strongly recommend you follow the advice on completely charging the phone for a minimum of 15 hours before setting up. Apart from that the preferences were extremely easy to set up with good clear instructions. The phone offers much the same facilities as other cordless phones but one great attribute is the built in answerphone which I find far more manageable than the standard Voicemail provided with landlines.

Nice looking design but unreliable. I’ve had this cordless phone, base and another handset for about 6 months now. It’s the most unreliable poor quality device I have ever had the misery to own.
