Also compatible with some speake Review: Perfect replacement for my failing '68 Super Reverb tank - I have a vintage 1968 Fender Super Reberb (not a reissue) that I acquired recently. The reverb never sounded right, compared to my Fender Deluxe Reverb. It was very fizzy, weak, and barely there. I replaced it with this MOD tank. It's now perfect. Immense. Lush. But controllable too. The reverb is now SUPER again! The only caveat to be aware of is that the female RCA connectors were color-coded OPPOSITE from the RCA cables of my amp. You would think you would connect it Red to Red and White to White, but that didn't work for me – I had to do Red to White, and White to Red. No big deal. It's hard to go wrong, really. Just connect it up how you think it should be, and if it doesn't work then just swap the RCA cables around. Easy peasy. Review: Worked well in Super-Sonic 22 combo - I'm very pleased with this Reverb tank. I bought it to replace an Accoutronics in a Fender Super-Sonic 22 combo, and it worked great. I also have a Deluxe Reverb (still almost brand new) that contains an Accutronics tank, and I would be satisfied with either tank -- but this one cost less. In fact, I tried the accutronics tank connected to Super-Sonic, and I think I like the Mod tank better. Longevity? TBD...I will report back at some point. Stock tank is fine, but this one just has more of the typical fender "bloop...bloop...bloop" type of decay.
