It has a bigger and stronger buckle for where it links to the dog collar. It can retract and extend. This will allow adjustable lengths for how long you want the dog to go. It is very useful. It come with a dog poop bag carrier. Review: Wish there was a button to stop the leash instead of a slide - Pros: The leash is long enough to allow the dog to have a pretty good amount of freedom but not too long where you feel like they are ever out of your control. The leash feels like it was well made, it is strong and has withstood a fair amount of pulling from my 30 pound dog. My dog has also chewed on the leash a bit, I was pleasantly surprised that this did not result in the leash fraying or the ability for the leash to retract. Cons: The "stopper" isn't a button like on other retractable leashes, it's more of a slide. It takes a little getting used to and it is more difficult to use in a pinch when you want to pull your dog in. It arrived timely via Amazon Prime, it was packaged well, and all the items were accounted for. Upon opening the bag with the leash in it, I found the waste bag holder and attached it to the handle of the leash, which makes that aspect of dog walking a little more convenient. I like the size and weight of this leash, and the handle is very comfortable when walking our dachshund. I will say that when I read the ad, I thought there was a pause button that you could push down so that you didn't have to lock the leash. This leash doesn't really have that feature. The "button" referred to in the ad isn't really a button at all. It's a slide lock that you slide with your thumb into a locked/unlocked position, so you can't really quickly pause without locking the leash into a specific position.
