I think if you had it lifted as high as it could go with a very heavy book on it, you might have to be careful that it doesn’t tip backward. The other stands available don’t seem to offer as much flexibility and height as this one. It is stiff when you need to adjust it, which is a plus because you don’t want it slipping. But I’m not a large person and I have no trouble adjusting it. I hope this will last a long time. I hate buying cheap stuff that ends up in the landfill.
