You have the pocket side. You fold over the opposite side and tie it then fold it over. But if you have a phone and a wallet in your pocket the belt unties a lot. Also the stitching are inconsistent. I own several of these and the fabric is nice but I have to sew some of pockets and stitch inseams sometimes. I think it's really worth buying if you can sew. If you can't then hopefully you'll get one that doesn't need it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unique flair and comfort, light for summer *by S***S on July 7, 2021* Just arrived--love these! Not soft cotton, more like canvas potato sack, but they don't fit like that, thankfully. Fabric is not chafing and very breathable. Look just like photo, but are not wrap around fisherman's pants: they pull up as usual, and have an attached (at back) cotton string to tie in front. The waist band can be worn high, which is very cute with the string tied in front, but also looks good folded over to highlight the contrasting fabric pattern, which is a batik look in pale and navy blue (matching tabs to fasten at either leg, as shown). Haven't yet washed, but expect a cold water machine wash should be ok, with rack dry. I would not put these in the dryer--they are sure to shrink. The fit: takes a little effort to get them over my 47" hips, but not enough to throw me off them. I wouldn't try these if you are any women's size over 16. Maybe an 18 could be negotiated, but dicey. Once up, they fit beautifully, not tight anywhere, and a very fun look with a cream tank and open linen button up shirt. Would post a photo if this page would allow it. If the waistband were elastic and stretched, I definitely would've fit! It sucks having large, muscular legs sometimes!All that aside, the item was beautiful. I really wish I could've kept it. I bought a number of items that would've gone great with it. The shop owners still gave me refund.
