Review: Best fit for my height - I bought this soft sided checked luggage for a trip to Europe - 2 weeks in Ireland & 5 days in Amsterdam. 1 week will be spent on a 3 cabin boat which recommended bringing a soft sided back for stowing in a cramped boat cabin. We are 3/4 of the way through our river trip & the bag worked great. Hauled it through city streets of Dublin over all kinds of city surfaces, on buses & trains with very little problems. It’s packed with 40lbs so thankfully there are strong men in the group to do heavy lifting into luggage racks or up or down stairs but am otherwise using my own muscles for hauling it around. It is holding up great. I have 3 pairs of shoes, toiletries, hair appliances & makeup in the hard side, & two vacuum packed clothes & two small packing cubes for underwear in the soft side. The side straps are very convenient for compressing the whole suitcase even further. I am very happy with this luggage & highly recommend it to anyone who is traveling abroad or anywhere you need to be conscientious about size & weight limits of checked luggage. Oh, I should mention, I also packed a hanging 4 clothes storage made of cloth to use as a dresser in the tiny closets on board the boat so I don’t hsve to “live” out of the suitcase. The dimensions are better for me than regular suitcases for maneuvering. I am short (5’1”) & having a narrower shape is better for me.

I am very impressed with this 42L carry-on. I compared how much it can hold with another carry-on suitcase and it held a little more. I have not used it yet so I cannot verify its durability but it seems very study and well made. It weights about 5.3 lb, more than stated in part of the description. I like the grey color.
