## Description

Synopsis Continuing the very successful From The Vault series of classic, previously unreleased Rolling Stones live shows this release is taken from their performance at Roundhay Park in Leeds, England on 25 July 1982. This show was the last concert on their 1982 European Tour in support of 1981 s acclaimed Tattoo You album which would be their last live tour for seven years. About half of the Tattoo You album is included in the set including the hit single Start Me Up . This would be the last Rolling Stones show to feature Ian Stewart on piano. The footage has now been carefully restored and the sound has been newly mixed by Bob Clearmountain for this first official release of the show.

Review: Superb concert and DVD/CD package - As part of the From The Vault series, Live In Leeds 1982 has had the footage carefully restored and the sound newly mixed. This was a summer (July 25, 1982) concert that took place during daylight hours and so there are some very good and very clear and close up shots of the band. Although the concert footage appears on a squarer shaped screen compared with more up to date television and cinema, with the performance that the Stones gave and the restored footage that can be seen and the sound that is heared, the screen shape is almost irrelevant but if anything it helps to appreciate that this is basically from a third of a century ago! Sound quality wise, like the others in the Vault series, it is excellent. There is a good mix of songs in the concert from what was then recent songs from Tattoo You, nearly half of the Tattoo You album songs are played, and as well as the more familiar there is also some perhaps unfamiliar such as Eddie Cochran’s Twenty Flight Rock. Helping the band on stage are Ian Stewart on piano, Chuck Leavell on keyboards and backing vocals, Gene Barge on saxophone and Bobby Keys on saxophone, and together with Keith, Mick, Ronnie, Bill and Charlie they all sound (and look) superb! The CD/DVD package is very elegantly presented with a cardboard and plastic case that opens out and opens out again like a sort of four-sided book with pictures of the band and of the concert shown. There is also a sixteen-page booklet with more imagery and information. All of the songs that are performed in the concert are presented on the DVD and all the songs are presented over the two CD’s. Track list CD I 01 Intro The A Train 02 Under My Thumb 03 When The Whip Comes Down 04 Let’s Spend The Night Together 05 Shattered 06 Neighbours 07 Black Limousine 08 Just My Imagination 09 Twenty Flight Rock 10 Going To A Go Go 11 Let Me Go 12 Time Is On My Side 13 Beast Of Burden 14 You Can’t Always Get What You Want CD II 01 Little T & A 02 Angie 03 Tumbling Dice 04 She’s So Cold 05 Hang Fire 06 Miss You 07 Honky Tonk Woman 08 Brown Sugar 09 Start Me Up 10 Jumpin’ Jack Flash 11 (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction To sum up - great concert and superb footage and sound reproduction.
Review: Great sound, video is 10/10 quality despite the angles used, brilliant concert - If like me you aren’t too sure about buying this because they (who? Eagle) decided to just use the only available video hence no choice, that is that used for the giant screens around the stage, hence mainly the heads of the band are seen, then put the doubts behind you and buy this. The sound for starters is fantastic and although a lot of the band from chest up are seen, the video does from time to time pan to the audience and is quite varied in showing all the musicians. The quality is really good for a restored video from 1982! Some say it’s visually dull but come on, it aint that bad,in fact I in my humble opinion thought it was fine. It’s a great historical document! The sound is great for an outside concert, best I’ve heard anyway. For me it is a bit nostalgic, and although I never got to see this concert, I was living down the road at the time, and my mate got to see it. I prefer the band paired down to just the lads with support on piano and sax and very little else which this is. The tracklist is good, the guitar work is fantastic, the two saxophonists work their arses off, and the lads appear to be in a great mood, I also got the Hampton Coliseum one from the same tour but a bit earlier and indoors across the pond, they’re both great in their own way. After watching the whole of this concert I found it very satisfying and a great change from the usual indoor arenas. So get this...it’s the Stones maaaann!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A grand day out in Leeds
*by L***Y on 17 May 2020*

I was there on the day it's said that there was 80,000 at the park there was a lot more than that the people on the gates was letting fans in without tickets for a couple of quid, the place was ram packed. A warm sunny day with a cool breeze, which kept the temperature down or people would have been fainting all over the place. The concert was not one of there best but for a long time fans thought it would have been there last, there was a lot of speculation in press all week that after an very successful tour of Europe and America the Stones would announce there retirement on stage. How wrong was that? They came back nine years later stronger than ever. A great day and watching the film brought back good memories.
