The main problem is the poor quality of the small light which is intended to focus on print: it is no better than the standard light fitting although I now wonder if this is as a result of a faulty bulb as I already own two table lamps of this dual design which perform well. On reflection I should have returned the product but was unable to do so as I had disposed of the packaging ( I was confident the product would be acceptable as I had experience of this seller's products in the past). The arm of the lamp is solidly fixed to the vertical stand and does not move. The little led light rotates but you would not call that a "swing arm". Because of the misleading description I cannot give it more than 3 stars. If you were looking for a lamp that happens to have the shade at right-angles to the stand, this is a very good lamp. It has switches near the top of the light so you don't have to scrabble about on the floor to turn it on and off. It seems quite robust and it blends in with a fairly classical setting.
