**Q: Why does this product contain sodium nitrite? potentially harmfully chemical.**
A: The pathway for N.O. is that dietary nitrates (including from foods like beets, kale, arugula)  are converted into nitrites, which are then used in the production of the nitric oxide gas.  It is a misperception that nitrite and nitrate are carcinogenic.   In fact, they are crucial to good health!
The addition of vitamin C in our Neo40 prevents the formation of n-nitrosamines (n-nitrosamines are carcinogenic).

I am not sure what to say about this product - my doctor recommended to me to use to increase nitrous oxide as I am having chronic shortness of breath following Covid infection almost 2 years ago. I started slow, with 1/4 tab and increased gradually over the span of a month to a full tab. No side effects and absolutely helped my breathing and lungs stay open. But all of a sudden, out of the blue after 2 months of use, I started getting extreme side effects from this. About 15-20 mins after taking, I would start getting dizzy and then my heart would start pounding. I mean so fast I thought I was going to pass out or have to call 911! Symptoms lasted about 5 minutes then subsided but it was extremely scary and felt like a contraindication to continue use. I halved the dose down to a 1/2 tab and same reaction, little less severe but still scary. Went down again back to 1/4 tab and could feel the increase of heart rate but was not overly bothersome. No clue why after 2 months in, on my second box, the extreme reaction would start. Would think that would happen when I first tried it?? I have stopped taking altogether until I can speak with my Dr. about this sudden appearance of side effects. Surprised to see only 1 other review mentions this.
