Its luminous efficiency is equivalent to that of an incandescent lamp that consumes 100 watts of electricity and uses a tungsten filament to emit light. **Q: Can these bulbs be used in enclosed light fixtures?** A: It depends on the fixture. The 75-watt equivalent bulbs fit some of my ceiling lights just fine and are too big for others. The 60-watt equivalent fits all of them (at least the ones I've tried so far). The 100-watt equivalent bulbs are even bigger than the 75-watt equivalent bulbs.
