Let me be clear, they do work, but you have to be extremely precise about how had you press down during crimping. Not enough, and the RJ45 pins won't penetrate the core's insulation to provide a decent connection. Press too hard though, and it will over crimp - pushing the terminals too far and the RJ45 plug terminals won't make contact with their counterpart socket terminals.A simple adjustable stop to allow the user to set the amount of travel to achieve the perfect crimp would've remedied this problem.The last issue is the blade, it's a little too blunt and short along it's length to provide clean cuts every time. Not only does it crush the connector, it doesn’t tap the cables cleanly. I suspect this is due to the connector being crushed/deformed slightly, perhaps causing the cables to move? It crimps the RJ45’s it comes with fine. I did find it difficult to feed the cables into the supplied RJ45’s but got a clean termination 1st time.
