This is hands-down one of my best Amazon purchases this year! ### ⭐ Buggy and fragile product - configuration does not work *by B***F on June 22, 2026* I bought the Yale lock because it had the features I was looking for, including fingerprint access, entry code management, and supposed integration with several home automation platforms. As it turns out, this is an incredibly fragile and buggy system that I've spent days just trying to get to the point where it does some of the things it claims to do. The hardware seems to work, but the Yale app is some of the worst software I've ever tried to use I've never been able to get the Apple HomeKit integration working. I had to call tech support and use an old version of the Yale app to configure it. The new version of the Yale app actually doesn't let you configure or reset the lock. If you use the latest version of the app, you'll never get it back to a working state. I bought a Z-Wave module, which I had working for a while, but it conflicts with the Wi-Fi bridge and wiped out all of the entry codes on my lock. I never could get them back while the Z-Wave module was installed and working. The Yale lock was a little cheaper than the other options I was considering. I very much regret buying Yale because I have not been able to configure it to use the features it purports to have. Their support process is very bad. They often blame their shortcomings on other vendors and don't seem to understand what their own products say they do.
