The quills from the cactus that are on the inside combined with the beans, rice, rocks or whatever they put inside, make a great sound.. There’s only one caution: some of the quills are still poking out, so be careful where you touch it. They are not out far enough to pierce the skin, but were surprising to me.

I love the sound! The sound is so much longer with this rainstick.
