NMNH is supposed to help your body increase production of NAD+. This is supposed to help slow the aging process. But NMNH is a newer supplement, its claims still in the early stages of investigation. Do your own research. Satoomi NMNH supplement contains many other ingredients which have been around longer and whose effects are better understood. The amounts are mostly on the low end. These are bonus amounts, not what you'd normally take if you wished to supplement with any of these ingredients. The include: * Quercetin -- A plant flavonol found in many plant sources, including onions, tomatoes, and berries. Various health claims have been made for it, but some say these claims are inconclusive. Satoomi's 70 mg per serving (two capsules) is on the low end. * Fisetin -- A flavonoid found in some fruits and vegetables, particularly strawberries. It is a fat soluble antioxidant that (according to the Dr. Axe website) induces "potent senolytic activity that may work to prevent the replication of damaged DNA" (i.e., it help prevent the diseases that come with aging). Satoomi's 100 mg per serving (two capsules) is on the low end. * Turmeric -- An antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. As an anti-inflammatory, it benefits your heart, arteries, and veins, and is said to help prevent cancer, arthritis, and diabetes. Inflammation is considered a contributing factor in cancer. Turmeric is also believed to clean the brain of plaque, and thus helps prevent dementia and Alzheimer's. Satoomi's 90 mg per serving (two capsules) is negligible Satoomi's NMNH has a pale yellow color and spicy scent. I'm wondering why, and suspect it might be the Quercetin and Turmeric. Quercetin normally has a bright, canary yellow color. Turmeric is a bright saffron orange, unless it contains BioPerine (black pepper extract, a common addition to Turmeric), in which case the Turmeric is a dull pumpkin orange and has a spicy scent (such as Satoomi's scent).
