We followed the advice given, to choose the book by its cover, but in this case my 7 year old could have had something a little more challenging. She misses the date page, and wishes it were as thick as the do it yourself journal the older kids have. However, we could have avoided that by looking inside of it more closely, and by checking the page count.The colouring pages are animals, fruit, vegetables, candies, shoes, and a few detailed underground house drawings. Very sweet. We love the look and feel of the cover! The whole book is inspiring the kids to pick up their school work at any time of the day.A handy tip is to buy a roll of white out correction tape, to cover over the occasional word or instruction in you want to do something different with the page.
