Looks like it was writted for Windows 3.1 (pre Windows95). For this price the interface should have been modernized. Also, you have to put the CD in in order to use it. However, it does do ok at cataloging your own recipes which is what i wanted it for. The recipes already in it are not very vegetarian, using meat, sugar, butter and other stuff. Some are veggie though.Overall, I'm disappointed in the interface, and the fact i have to put the CD in every time i want to use it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Vegetarian Cook'n and More Cookbooks *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2013* I have been using Cook'n for sometime now. This version of Cook'n has not only the "Cook'n Vegetarian" cookbook in the software but also 11 other cookbooks sold with any version of Cook'n so you will find some recipes with meat, etc. in it but you can choose not to use them or convert them to vegetarian. I like that I can search of any ingredient I want to cook with and this software will search through all the cookbooks included in the software. I am not sure with version 8 but with version 10 which you can upgrade to, if necessary, you can go to websites and capture recipes which Cook'n miraculously enters the title, ingredients, etc. for you. I have found some websites that I need to enter the recipe but then Cook'n puts the recipe in a side window (or at the top - the choice is yours) that you easily type the recipe.
