I recently had one break while I was heating water in the microwave. Works great as a storage jar with the available top. Looks great on table… sturdy dependable. I just love these working glasses in this and tall 21 ounce size. In fact I love all of Arc Luminarc glassware. Will last a long time and I never stop enjoying them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still buy tho' not original French jelly jars w/ 500. Very breakable if drop on ceramic tile *by L***F on November 17, 2021* I originally got the original "French jelly jar" glasses with 500 stamped on bottom many many years ago as wedding gift & still have one. I like the shape vs. round because they're easier to grip & not drop if condensation on outside. As noted in headline, they will for sure break if dropped on kitchen ceramic tile floor. The lids are a bit tight & I accidentally slashed one opening delivery. Definitely don't put lids in dishwasher, even on top, as they will warp. A bit harder to clean because of circular ridges at the bottom. They claim to be 12 oz. but are near 10. The 16 oz. are really 12. They can be used for storage due to the lids, but I save glass jars with fine threads as a better use. The set of 4 is a higher unit price than set of 8 of larger glasses.
