Also you would need a deep enough tray for at least 5 inches of substrate (2-3 for soil and 2 for moss as they like to barrow under moss) which without a tray would just fall out. If cohabiting a male and female you need a separate cage anyway for when she becomes pregnant and gives birth to the live young. They should not be cohabitated until the female has reached sexual maturity. This species is endangered and typically a hands off reptile (not found of handling) and I would recommend thoroughly researching their requirements before investing in them. Personally if you live in the UK, purchase a customisable screen cage from Muji as then you can have panels added and a have a deep tray suitable for substrate that fits with drainage. I also bought the bottom lining trays. The latches aren't fantastic and need a bit of effort to slot them securely, but even partially in place, they are secure.
