**Q: Can the blade be sharpened?**
A: Yes, you use a whetstone to sharpen it or a Steel to hone the blade between sharpenings. Mine wasn't very sharp on delivery, so will need to be sharpened on a whetstone before it's usable

A: The blade is relatively thin and slightly flexible. Flexible enough to bend and slice smoked salmon if need be.

**Q: Is it 12" including the handle or not?**
A: It is 12" for just the blade and does not include handle

**Q: Is this product dishwasher safe?**
A: To be honest I would never place any of my sharp knives in a dishwasher as it is known to damage their edge.
