I use it to monitor a remote pool and it works well for that purpose. It sits in the skimmer & tests the water daily. You can set the time of day, but no option to skip test days. I think I used two cartridges a season in NorthEast. It tests free chlorine, pH, water temperature & water flow at the skimmer. It has helped immensely, but disappointed it stopped responding after two seasons. Worth the money & relatively inexpensive compared to the few competitors. Cartridge 5-pack is $50. It is accurate & does require wifi to work. They provide water testing for detailed analysis, but my two tests did not get uploaded this season. You can manually upload detailed pool test data if you have a local tester. This house is remote so testing water locally is challenging. The app interface is easy to use & they calculate estimates for what product to add based on pool size. You can have multiple units & share the access to family members. Worth the money, no green pool for two years. Buy long lasting Lithium C batteries, the extended use is well worth the extra cost. ### ⭐ DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!! First which really isn’t advertised, you spend $350 for basically a drain cover and holder for the testing/sending cartridges which must be replaced every 30 days. When the cartridge reaches 30 days it stops testing the water and updating the app. Here is the kicker you can only buy the cartridges directly from Waterguru for around $80, but they are supposedly having supplier issues getting the replacement cartridges and you cannot get them. So after 30 days and spending $350 the Smart Pool Monitor is useless and dead in the water…. This company is scamming people selling products that will stop working in 30 days. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Take the guesswork out of pool monitoring *by on Reviewed in the United States 10 July 2023* I purchased and installed the WaterGuru Sense Series 2 a few days ago. The installation was very straightforward. Install the batteries, plug the cartridge into the sensor, then drop the sensor into the skimmer and you're done. And don't forget to install the app on your phone and connect to the sensor via Bluetooth and WiFi.After a short period of time, I got feedback on my phone about the current conditions of the pool: pH level, free chlorine (FC), total alkalinity (TA), cyanuric acid (CYA) level, and calcium hardness (CH). If you use salt to soften the pool (or I suppose if you have a saltwater pool) there's data for that as well.My pool had been serviced the day before so I expected the readings to be high. No surprise that the pH level was high, the TA was high, and the CH level was high. Over the next couple of days, I watched the levels drop closer to the normal range--and I intend to share the results with my pool maintenance company so they can manage my pool more effectively. My 'pool guy' is already excited to see the results to help him save time, money, and chemicals during his regular maintenance schedule. If I want to do it myself, I now have enough detailed information about what chemicals (acid, chlorine, etc.) need to be added and in what quantities to make it a manageable task.The Water Guru Sense S2 is a game-changer for pool maintenance. It eliminates the guesswork, can save you money, and at the very least, provides actionable insight into the state of your pool.
