The end result was as soft and fluffy as when I took it out of the plastic bag. The light blue color is beautiful and looks great draped over my brown-colored sofa. The fleece is a little thin but that does not affect my delight in this product. I would recommend this on the basis of the beautiful color but more importantly on the durability of this product. So thick, warm, slightly heavy (double layered) and soft. Have machine washed and dried twice with no problem. Ordered the pink and it is very pretty, I would describe as a medium soft pink with a hint of lavender (very feminine color). Only odd thing is that it is not a true standard twin blanket size. The measurements given are accurate but be aware that it is smaller than a standard twin top sheet.
