I am 5'8" 160lbs so not a big guy and have no trouble using the very top of the fender for a step. However, by the feel of it if you go past 180lbs I do not think the fender could handle it. But you have the step area to the front and rear of the tire where it sits on fender mounts and they are more than adequate to handle any load.
