Is this a cane that will actually help people walk?** A: Most of the cool looking canes are not weight bearing canes. I didnt realize when I purchased this one even though I'm pretty sure it says in the description. That being said, I weigh 185 and I'm 5'6" and I used it to walk with after a car accident. Worked fine. After a while the rubber on the bottom wore down. I wouldnt use it to support your whole body trying to get up from a sitting position, just to help keep balance really. **Q: Is the spear one piece or more than a piece?** A: All one piece. **Q: Can it be cut down to make smaller?** A: You could shorten it by cutting the wood stick, however you will need a new way to finish off the end with a non-slip fitting. **Q: I bought this for my husband, and he loves it, but is wanting to get a non-slip tip for it.
