Good sound quality, good construction, worth the money
I bought this after using the $20 Chinese ones. Honestly, the sound quality isn't that much different, but the ease of use is much better. There's no weird/loud startup beeps, just a gentle 10-note jingle that confirms you've powered it on. No weird issues pairing to my iPhone - just hold the button until you see the LED indicator blinking, then pair. I use it in my 2005 SUV hooked up to the 3.5mm input, and it works great. The main reason I'd highly recommend this is the cheap Chinese adaptors - at least the one I bought - will actually cut out the audio for ~2 seconds whenever you skip or reverse a track. It's not a delay, you actually miss 2 seconds of the song/podcast/whatever you're listening to. After a few months, that drove me insane.By comparison, the FiiO adapter has no weird pauses, no weird clicks, no sound issues whatsoever. It charges quickly via USB-C and it shows its current battery status in my iPhone widget screen. Highly recommended overall.

A tiny audio monster worth every penny!!!
Ok for its size it is a monster!!! used it about a month now, upgraded from my blue ant ribbon, worth every penny! independent volume from the phone and clear audio. I have gotten up to 50ft(16m) range with no obstructions, it is small and fits in the watch pocket on my jeans but survives the whole day! Biggest selling points for me were the reviews and the type-c charging port, same as my galaxy. Just wish i had known it came in blackEDIT 4-2-21: I still use it daily and its great, at times its range has cleared nearly 100 ft(33m) with no obstructions(I dont usually use it at this range though). its proven to be durable and I suggested it to a coworker and he has enjoyed it. the battery still lasts most of an 8 hour day but since it uses the USB-C port I just charge it when I go to lunch with my phone charger at work. and I highly recommend it to anyone who prefers to use regular headphones over earbuds(or airpods) for fear of losing them.thanks for an awesome device FiiO!

I knew I needed something like this and since I didn't know a lot about ...
So I bought this knowing nothing about he company or this type of product. I knew I needed something like this and since I didn't know a lot about this type of product; I wanted to get something cheap so if I didn't like it I wouldn't feel Like I wasted money.I see that this is a new product and wanted to give people an idea of what they might be buying.I am going to go by what they advertise this product has to confirm if it works, and how well.AptX:- Yes, the delay is virtually gone. I could use this to watch a movie or videos without noticing a delay (lag) between the image and sound. I think I've seen a few devices that might even have less delay, but, as someone who bought this one because of the AptX I can say that I am very happy with the lack of delay.Connecting to two devices at the same time:- Yes, once you've connected to one device you need to turn off the FiiO then when turning back on press and hold again to begin paring process then pair to the new device. Now you can go back to the old device and click on the FiiO and it will connect.- Not sure how it decides importance, but basically whichever device was playing audio first will play through the bluetooth, so you will only hear one device at a time. Once Device A's audio stops (like youtube video ends) if Device B is playing audio, then it will take over and play through the FiiO. It seems to work pretty well. Sometimes one of the devices doesn't really want to give up audio after finishing playing, but overall it works well.High Performance Amplifier:- Ehh. Yes it gets loud, probably 90% the volume of plugging directly into the device. But with that there is just a minor amount of audio "compression" maybe? I am not sure how to put it, but as far as listening to music while running or casual youtube videos with talking it is 100% perfect. Similar to another review though I do notice that it loses a bit of quality. I would say its 90% the quality of plugged into a device. Overall neither of these would have stopped me from buying the device.Three Buttons:- All three buttons work at controlling the phone. My headphones have there own buttons also, which don't work (I wasn't expecting them too).Battery Life:- I will come back and update this once I get a better idea. I charged it up all the way and used it lightly for about 20-30 minutes to test it. Then took it on a 40 minute jog. It tells my android device it's current battery level (I think only in intervals of 10%) at the end of the jog it was showing 90% battery.NFC Paring:- Yes. I put the FiiO in pairing mode and then put my phone up against it and it began pairing. I had to get it on a specific spot on the phone though, not sure how large of an area the NFC is so you might have to find it a little.Activating Assistant:- Yes. Double pressing the power button will make the assistant on your phone start listening.Overall:For what I paid $28 I would buy this product again. I am sure there are "better" choices at higher prices, but for this price I thin this is a great deal.Things this has that other don't:USB C. No other small bluetooth receiver has this type of charging port yet.Clip. I wanted a clip so I can use this while running and jogging.AptX. Some bluetooth receivers are vague about whether or not they have it. This one has it, and it works wonderfully.

I can use my Headphones again!!!
I had purchased a nice set of Beats noise cancelling headphones a few years ago. At the time I bought them, you could either have wired headphones with nose cancellation, or wireless. The technology was not there for the head phones to be both wireless and nose cancelling. I loved these and travelled with the often. Then I got the new iPhone and could not longer use them... Until now. This is an excellent, low cost solution to be able to use these headphones. They connected right away. They sound just fine. I do not need them to be too loud at all, but I have not noticed any significant volume difference. As I test I set my phone down in my office and walked all over my house and into my back yard. I started losing connection only after I went several yards form the house. This buy made me VERY happy. I can enjoy my favorite headphones again!!

Can’t be beat at this price
At the time of this review it’s just under 20$. And it can’t be beat. It’s lightweight and so small you can clip it just about anywhere. The 9 hours of battery life is great, and the sound quality is as good as it’s going to get for a device of this size. If you have an iPhone and want to keep using your old headphones get this. Just one caveat though. Since it is so small you can forget about using this with high impedance headphones. I’d say nothing over 48ohm at most. This is great for IEMs, ear buds, and smaller pairs of headphones. I’ve been using it with a pair of Sony MDR-XB450AP which are 24ohm and they work great.
