**Q: Rug Buddy would go under very thick, dense, Tibetan wool area rug (7/8") on top of wall to wall. Will it provide ambient heat in the room?**
A: If the room is relatively well enclosed it will make the room feel warmer, but how many degrees warmer I couldn't answer. It would be best to ask the manufacturer directly.

**Q: Can you place over concrete floor with foam interlocking padding over?**
A: Foam interlocking tiles will act as an insulator, so the heating will not be very effective.
The foam tiles can also emit an odor when heated.

**Q: What type of rug pad is recommended for below the rug buddy?**
A: Any pad will work, but appropriate size Teebaud non-slip pad is the one we recommend.

**Q: What type of timer is recommended?**
A: Any timer that can handle 5 amps or more. It's really your choice of what timer you like, as there are so many options. Pick one that you are comfortable with. There are many that now connect to Bluetooth or Wi-Fi that are nice, since you can control them with your phone, and remotely.

I had higher hopes for this rug warmer. It does get warm so I guess it “works” but it certainly doesn’t contribute to warming the room. I would call it a bonus to feel a slight warmth on your feet but you won’t feel it if you have slippers on. I was also disappointed that the cord was so thick it’s impossible to hide under the rug. They definitely should have made this cord flat. It’s noticeable enough that my Roomba does a little Evel Kenevel jump over it. All in all, it does warm the rug but not to the point I would recommend the purchase.
