Needed a tall lamp to fit beside my tv unit but one that was thin as my unit has to be at an angle so it’s an awkward shape and size to fit a lamp in, I purchased this on a whim more so because of the ability to control via a remote due to where it is placed it would be difficult to get to the switch. The lamp is super simple to put together but is a very strong, sturdy metal and the shade is lineny with a thick plastic inside.
