The melafix also cleared up a red bloodshot patch he’d got underneath his body within the first dose of treatment . He’s not stopped swimming around & playing with the bubbles from the air stones 😂 I’ll be gutted when I have to put him back in the pond . I’d definitely recommend this stuff . I thought I was gonna lose my fish he was so lethargic & unwell but it took just 3 days of this stuff & I saw positive signs . Just to add , it did make the water go incredibly cloudy and my koi did start rubbing a bit against the airstones which can be a side effect to using melafix . In other words does it turn toxic to fish or simply starts to lose the effectiveness?** A: I would think if this is not very much over date, like 6months or so, it would be fine. If it is still sealed, it will be like new or almost. If it is older, it probably, hate to say as this, but I would think it will be okay to use, and just be weaker or maybe not. If you are in doubt, I would buy a new one to be certain. In the past, they never put dates on anything, and now a days they do and the things were used and were okay. Best answers I can give you. Then you should remove it in to a isolation tank. Be sure to use the pond water when you fill it.
