The filling is very full and they feel extremely durable. I bought the 26x26 to use inside 24x24 zippered throw pillow covers and it fills them just enough to give that perfect “chop” look but it’s also the perfect fullness to just fluff them and leave as is. If I had gotten the same size insert as my pillow covers, I think they would look a little flat. If a flatter pillow is what you prefer, I would get matching size inserts.
