Review: A good option if you can't fit a full size dishwasher - We bought a house in an area that the tap water is hard. The house does not have a water filtration system and the dishwasher that was here when we bought it did not work and was caked inside with deposits. We decided that replacing it was futile and as our kitchen in this home is fairly small we needed the storage space over a dishwasher. We still wanted the convenience of a dishwasher and a countertop model seemed like our best option. I have to admit that there are pluses and minuses to a unit such as this but I feel the pluses win out in the end. I had back surgery years ago and being bent over the sink washing dishes can get extremely uncomfortable even after a short time. This allows us to load dishes as we use them and then run when full. It is helping us keep up with the dishes and is saving my back the pain of handwashing. Granted, we still must manually wash the larger items that will not fit but it is still much faster to get through the chore with less pain for me. The machine can either be manually filled with water or hooked to the sink with an adapter. We went with the manual fill as the machine is right next to the sink and we just extend our sprayer to the fill point and turn on the water until it is full. It saves us from filling the included pitcher 3 times to wash a load. The machine beeps when full to let you know so you do not overfill it. Room temperature water can be used as the unit has a heater for the water built in. For those that will be hooking directly to the sink, please note the manual states to shut the water off after the load is completed. The drain hose is an ample length so if the machine is not right next to the sink it should still reach as long as you are not placing it too far away. Even at that, the drain hose can be placed into a bucket if the sink is too far. The biggest warning I can think of is that the clamp to hold the drain hose in place on the washer is a bit of a bear to get tightened due to how close it must be to the housing of the machine. We had bought another model before this one that was broken upon receipt. Unpacking the previous one was much more involved than this one. I say this only to note that unboxing and setup was very straight forward and quite simple with the exception of the aforementioned clamp for the drain hose. The manual does not show the precise way to connect the silverware tray and that was a bit of a puzzle for a moment but was easy enough to figure out. The machine is no noisier than a full size machine. I feel it is actually quieter than a full size. It has a good selection of cycles to choose from with the only thing I would like added is to be able to turn the heated dry off on the longer cycles. I would believe the most popular question people have is "How well does it clean dishes?" I have to say it does a really good job. I have purposely put dishes with dried on food in and had most come out sparkling clean. It does miss the odd spot however that is most likely due to me playing tetris to get more in and pretty much being guilty of overloading. I recommend more loads over fuller loads to keep you from rewashing or hand washing items again. In other reviews, people noted that the water from the top was more of a "trickle". While it is not like the power sprayers in full size machines, it puts out a fair amount of water. It does not cover the entire area which I thought would lead to the upper items in the silverware tray to come out dirty. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it did clean. The only real issue we have had so far is that the second load of dishes came out with a film on them. We are unsure if this was due to the detergent we used, if we used too much or if there was residue from the test run the manufacturer does on the machines. We have not had a repeat of that since that load of dishes. That does remind me that the inside of the machine may be damp. It does warn you of this in the quick start guide and manual. The door is held shut magnetically and does not lock to my knowledge. It holds very tightly and I do not feel it will ever pop open during a load. I actually prefer this as the first machine that we returned was due to the PLASTIC door latch was broken upon receipt. There is no latch on this one to break which in my opinion is a plus. We like the different cycles for the machine and will be using the fruit cycle often. The size is also right for us as well. We have just a hair over 18" under our cabinets. This machine fits nicely under them with about an inch to spare. The previous machine had incorrect measurements listed and would not fit under our cabinets. I must warn that the machine will not take a dinner plate over 10" unless laid at an angle. To summarize, we really like the machine as it lessens our daily chore load. It is not an all inclusive solution but augments very well when properly used. It is saving me from an aching back and since it sits on the countertop, loading does not require bending down as a full sized machine requires. If you are in the market for such a machine, I feel this one should be on your final list of choices due to size, features, good performance, ease of use and versatility in placement.
Review: When it works, it's awesome, and when it doesn't, well, read the forums, but still, worth the money! - I want to say right out of the gate: this thing works perfectly as long as you stay within parameters, and it is incredible awesome for people who do not want to do dishes all the time/have infants. But figuring the setup was the weirdest thing for us. I even setup my neighbors who bought one originally (I am a handyman) , and here are the caviats I had regarding this machine. 1. The machine would error code a lot if you tried water filling the top, though I could never figure out why, so I ended up just running water to a feed line under our sink, never had a problem again on that code. 2. The visual aspect of the washing machine makes you think you didn't have enough soap, but if you over load it with dish detergent (which is incredibly easy) suds will pour out the machine and you will get water everywhere: use a pod or a dime sized dollup of detergent for each load. 3. The drain line rarely but can shoot a little hard when it engages and unless it is going directly into a drain, thus jumping out of the sink bed. 4. A full regular dish cycle is a little over 2 hours. Now, for why we love this little thing. 1. It fits right underneath our cupboards in our small kitchen and is easily cleaned. 2. For the dirtier, greasier dishes you can use the long regular cycle, but the shortest rapid cycle only takes 40 minutes (and you can usually bypass the last 4 minutes as most of the time it's just doing a preliminary air dry, and you can put those dishes on a towel to dry) 3. A very long lasting warranty 4. It saves your hands from using a boat load more water hand washing. Fantastic little guy, would recommend if you cannot have a regular dish washer

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ So glad these exist
*by D***E on 15 July 2024*

I hate washing dishes and have wanted a dishwasher for years but I didn't have the room. My kitchen does not have space for an in-cabinet installation and even a portable one that rolls around would be too large to conveniently store in it. But then I came across these countertop portables and started reading reviews and settled on this one. I would've liked the larger models that can fit 6 place settings but again, space is an issue. Plus I really liked the window and light on this model. So the first thing is this is bigger than I expected. Even knowing the dimensions it still surprised me how large it was. But it fit on top of an appliance beside the kitchen so no problem there. Rather than go on about other things let's get down to the nitty-gritty: While the internal size is limited, it holds surprisingly large items. Not only can it do my Instant Pot Duo Plus lid, but the internal pot as well (though of course separately.) I can also do large, full-sized (even oversized) plates. Though of course the larger the item(s) the fewer things you can wash at once. It washes well. I've used both gels and pacs and have had no problem with either. I'm kind of amused at how the detergent "tray" is simply a measuring notch in the door and when you close it, it runs down into the basin. Or in other words it's attempting to be what you'd expect in a regular-sized dishwasher but really isn't, though it's still functional. For pacs you just toss them into the bottom; they'll dissolve almost instantly when the wash cycle begins. The ability to use the machine without permanent hookups is very nice, although I have some issues with the filling hole. As some other reviews have noted it's difficult to fill without some splashback. I think if the grate that's inside were a little lower this might not be as bad. If you fill it slowly it pretty much doesn't happen at all but when you're already got to do 3.1 pitchers worth of water, it makes the process a little more annoying. And speaking of the pitcher, the one included is very nice and solid. Doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. The other issue with the filling hole is that it can be awkward to use depending on height. In my case the machine has to be of sufficient height off the ground so the drain pipe can function properly in my sink, and although I'm not short it's still awkward to have to reach up and towards the back to fill it, especially in combination with how careful you have to be filling it to avoid splashing. I want to connect the faucet adaptor to fill directly but need to get a compatible diverter so I can keep it connected and just flip a lever instead of hooking and unhooking it every time I want to run a load. There's one thing I don't like, and that's the upper spray "arm", which isn't an arm at all but rather a spinning disc that water basically dribbles out of. It has nowhere the pressure nor the area coverage of the lower spray arm. And due to this, you have to be careful when washing silverware in the raised tray because if anything blocks the lower spray arm from hitting them, they're basically not going to get fully clean. Keep this in mind when you're loading it. There's not a whole lot more to go into other than I'm pretty happy with the machine overall, however there are a few minor things I wish were different: I love the light so I can see the dishes being washed but I wish there was an option to keep it on during the entire cycle. When it's on it does stay on for several minutes and can be turned back on with a tap of a button but I'd still like an always on option for when it's running. I also wish the machine came in a solid black option. The white/black doesn't look bad but I prefer solid black appliances. Another thing is that unlike what is advertised here, mine did not come with a fruit washing basket, but instead a baby bottle rack which is absolutely useless to me.
