The lock doesn’t work properly with my door. When installed, it prevents the door from closing all the way so it can’t even be locked. These locks are excellent! I have them on my back door all the time. I use them at hotels and I travel often. Easy to use and very effective. The only drawback is that it must be an inward swinging door. So these do not work well on a cruise ship that generally has outward swinging doors. Very heavy duty and highly recommend other than that!
