They failed to light if the garage was damp ( bringing vehicles in during a rain storm was enough to cause this) and had difficulty lighting when it was extremely cold.A few weeks ago a ballast burned out in one of them and that was enough to make me say enough and purchase LED replacement bulbs for both fixtures.The ballast needs to be removed and some simple wiring modifications are required which took me less than 15 minutes per fixture and I now have bright dependable lighting like I have not experienced before.Great product but be sure to check the bulb connections will fit your fixture as there are two different types. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Direct wire lamp - remove ballast *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2019* This is a very cost efficient way to modify old high output T12 eight foot fixture.Impressed with the lamp output. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works like a charm! *by Q***N on Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2019* Great replacement for my fluorescent lights. I removed the ballast and rewired it. You need to be electrically savvy enough to do this or hire someone to do it. 2 of these lights are about the cost of a new ballast or the cost of 2 new T8 fluorescents.
